The plan: bike ATV trails from Gerstle River to Black Rapids Glacier, bike the ice until it turns to snow, ski the snow pulling the bikes in packrafts, float out the Yanert River. The reality: a broken derailleur hanger at mile 40 and a scratch at Donnelly.

I had the same thing happen to me last summer in the Wyoming Range. rear derailleurs suck. Maybe a single speed? I wish you could of used the “fast shoes”
bummer about the bike boo-boo — you guys gotta do it next year so we can see the rest of the trip!
